Good airflow is essential for healthy plants. Our grow room extractor fans and carbon filters help you control temperature, humidity and odour, whether you're running a single grow tent or a full room.
We stock inline extractor fans from RVK, Rhino, K-Line and Isomax, carbon filters from Mammoth, RAM and Dutch Touch, plus clip, wall and box fans for air circulation. Looking for something specific? Browse our carbon filters, circulation fans for grow rooms or ducting and fittings.

What's in this collection
This collection covers everything you need to keep air moving and odour under control: inline extractor fans (RVK, Rhino, K-Line and Isomax), carbon filters (Mammoth, RAM AirTECH and Dutch Touch), Tornado box fans, clip and wall fans for circulation (Vortex, RAM AirFLEX, Maxifan, Gorilla and 16" wall fans), acoustic and combi ducting, back draft shutters, and odour control from the ONA range (gel, spray, liquid and blocks).
How to choose your extractor fan and carbon filter
Air changes per minute. As a rule of thumb, your extractor fan should change the full volume of air in your tent or room at least once a minute.
Work out your tent volume. Multiply length x width x height in metres to get the volume in m³. A 1.2m x 1.2m x 2m tent, for example, holds 2.88m³, so one air change a minute works out at roughly 173m³ per hour. Choose a fan rated comfortably above that figure, because a carbon filter and ducting both add resistance. If you're unsure, size up rather than down. Our grow tent size guide lists common tent dimensions.
Match your filter to your fan. Your carbon filter should be rated for the same airflow as your fan, or slightly above it, and its neck diameter should match the fan.
Get the ducting diameter right. Run ducting that matches the outlets on your fan and filter so air flows freely. If your fan and filter are different sizes, join them with a metal duct reducer. Keep runs short and straight, because every bend and extra metre cuts airflow.
Keep the noise down. EC fans such as the Rhino and K-Line run quieter at low to mid speeds than standard AC fans, the Isomax and Rhino have silenced housings, and acoustic ducting cuts noise further along the run. Read our full guide to acoustic ducting and grow room noise for more on keeping extraction quiet.

Ducting and acoustic ducting
Combi ducting has a PVC outer over an aluminium inner, held in shape by a steel wire helix. It's the budget-friendly choice for intake runs and setups where noise isn't a concern. Acoustic ducting adds a layer of fibreglass insulation that absorbs fan noise rather than letting it travel down the tube, so it's the one to use near living space. Plenty of growers run acoustic ducting on the extraction side and combi on the intake.

FAQs
What size extractor fan do I need?
Aim to change the air in your tent at least once a minute. Work out your tent volume (L x W x H) and choose a fan rated above it, allowing for the filter and ducting.
Does my carbon filter need to match my fan?
Yes. Your carbon filter should be rated for the same or higher airflow than your fan, with a matching diameter.
Do I need a circulation fan as well?
Yes. A clip, oscillating or wall fan inside the tent strengthens stems and stops hot, humid spots forming around the canopy.
Will my extractor fan be noisy?
EC fans run quieter at low to mid speeds than AC fans, and silenced fans or acoustic ducting cut noise further.
Should I use acoustic or combi ducting?
Use acoustic ducting where noise matters, usually on the extraction side, and combi ducting for intake runs or where noise isn't a concern.
How do I control grow room odour without a filter running constantly?
Our ONA range (gel, spray and liquid) neutralises odour in the room or at the extract point, and works well as a backup alongside a carbon filter rather than a replacement for one.
