Mills Nutrients is a Dutch brand that takes a bio-mineral approach to feeding. Shop the Mills Nutrients range
Base nutrients. Mills Basis A+B is the two-part base feed for both the vegetative and flowering stages, in soil, coco or hydro. You adjust the dose as the grow goes on instead of switching bottles.
Roots and growth. Mills Start-R is a rooting bio-stimulant for propagation, the vegetative stage and early bloom. It contains two forms of nitrogen, humic and fulvic acids and amino acids, with growth-promoting compounds from Irish kelp. Mills Vitalize is a growth stimulant for root development, plant structure and resilience.
Flowering. Mills C4 is the brand's best-known bloom stimulator, used alongside Basis A+B through flowering. Mills Ultimate PK is a concentrated phosphorus and potassium additive for extra flower size and density.
Calcium, magnesium and pH. Mills CalMag prevents calcium and magnesium shortages in soil, coco and hydro. Mills pH+ and Mills pH- let you fine-tune your feed solution.
Growing media. Mills Top Mix 50L is a ready-to-use mix that drains well and holds water, made to work with the Mills feeds.
Choosing the right Mills products
Mills is one of the simpler programmes to run. Basis A+B covers the whole grow, so most growers start there and add Start-R for the first few weeks. In flowering, add C4, and Ultimate PK if you want an extra boost. CalMag is worth having on soft or RO water and in coco, and the pH adjusters keep your solution in range. If you grow in soil, Top Mix is a natural partner for the range.
The feeds are concentrated, so a little goes a long way. Measure accurately, follow the label and check pH after mixing.
