Refund Policy

We want you to be completely happy with your order from Black Country Systems. If you're not, here's how returns and refunds work.

Your right to cancel — UK 14-day cooling-off

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have 14 days from the day you receive your order to change your mind. To exercise this right, email admin@blackcountrysystems.com with your order number within that 14-day window.

Once we've confirmed your cancellation, you have a further 14 days to return the goods to us. Items must be unopened, unused, and in their original packaging in a re-saleable condition.

Please do not send returns without contacting us first — unannounced returns may not be accepted.

Items we cannot accept back

  • Opened nutrient bottles, boosters or additives — for hygiene and safety reasons.

  • Opened or used grow lights, bulbs or ballasts (unless faulty under warranty — see below).

  • Custom-built grow systems or bespoke quotes.

  • Hazardous goods, flammable liquids and gases.

  • Clearance and sale items (unless faulty).

Damaged on arrival

Please inspect your order on delivery. If anything is damaged, photograph the packaging and the item and email admin@blackcountrysystems.com within 48 hours. We'll arrange a replacement or refund.

Faulty electrical items

All electrical items (lights, ballasts, fans, controllers, heaters) are covered by the manufacturer's warranty plus your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Email admin@blackcountrysystems.com with your order number and a description of the fault — we'll arrange testing, repair, replacement or refund depending on the issue.

Refunds

Once we receive your return, we'll inspect it and notify you within 5 working days. If approved, refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days.

Return shipping

For change-of-mind returns, you cover return postage. For faulty or damaged items, we cover it. Heavy items (grow tents, fans, 50L+ soil bags) may require a courier collection — we'll arrange this for you.
