Silicon is a vital trace element that many grow media lack in plant-available form. Dutch Pro Silica (Von Liebig’s Special) supplies mono silicic acid, a readily absorbable form of silica that reinforces plant cell walls and improves overall plant architecture. By strengthening stems, improving root uptake and bolstering natural resistance, this additive supports vigorous growth, higher yields and healthier crops across all growth stages.
Used weekly from early vegetative growth through flowering, Dutch Pro Silica becomes a cornerstone of any nutrient regimen focused on structural integrity, stress resistance and robust plant health.
Key Features & Benefits
- Enhances Structural Strength: Silica helps plants build thicker, stronger stems and cell walls, enabling them to better support heavy flowers or fruits and resist breaking under load.
- Boosts Stress Resistance: Improves tolerance to heat, drought, wind and environmental fluctuations, helping plants cope with challenging conditions.
- Improves Nutrient & Water Transport: Strengthened cell structure supports more efficient sap flow and nutrient distribution throughout the plant.
- Promotes Healthier Roots: Encourages improved root development and function, helping plants absorb nutrients and water more effectively.
- Disease & Pest Defense: Increased silica levels make plants less prone to bacterial and fungal challenges by reinforcing physical barriers.
- Versatile Use Across Systems: Suitable for soil, coco coir and hydroponic systems, giving growers flexibility in application.
- Nano-Enhanced, Highly Concentrated: Uses advanced formulation to deliver an effective dose of silicon in a form plants can readily absorb.
How to Use
- Shake well before use.
- Dosage: Typical application is 0.4 ml per litre of water mixed into your nutrient solution weekly.
- When to Apply: Start in week 1 of vegetative growth and continue through flowering until flush, consistent use helps maintain structural benefits throughout the plant’s life.
- Mixing Tip: Add Dutch Pro Silica before other nutrients to ensure proper dissolution and minimise risk of precipitation.
- Compatibility: Works with most nutrient programmes. Ideal for use alongside base feeds and bloom boosters.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is Dutch Pro Silica used for? It’s a silicon supplement that strengthens plant cell walls, supports thicker stems, improves stress resistance and enhances nutrient uptake, leading to healthier, more resilient plants.
Can I use it in hydroponics, soil or coco?
Yes, Dutch Pro Silica is compatible with all common growing mediums, including soil, coco coir and hydroponic systems.
Is this product safe to use throughout the grow cycle?
Yes, simply add weekly from the start of vegetative growth through to the end of flowering for continuous structural support and stress resilience.
Does it contain plant growth regulators (PGRs)?
No, this silica supplement is formulated without PGRs and focuses on strengthening plants through mineral support.
How does silica help yield?
By strengthening stems and improving nutrient and water transport, silica can help plants support heavier blooms or fruits, often resulting in denser, fuller harvests.
If you want to maximise plant strength, stress tolerance and overall performance, Dutch Pro Silica is a smart addition to your feeding regimen. By supplying plant-available silicon that most media lack, this advanced supplement helps plants resist environmental pressures, support heavier growth and absorb nutrients more efficiently, all of which contribute to healthier plants, better
